Brenda Cooper, M.D. founder of the Central Georgia Center for Digestive Health, P.C.,
is a well-known gastroenterologist in Macon, Georgia. She gained extensive experience dealing with
malignancies of the GI tract at the Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, and she is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

A pioneer in her field, Dr. Cooper’s research emphasizes pancreatic disease and the role of therapeutic endoscopy. Although she has conducted research with AIDS patients and on diseases of the GI tract - particularly esophageol disease - she has a special interest in therapeutic biliary endoscopy. She also specializes in evaluation and treatment
of swallowing disoorders and treatment of swallowing disorders, including treatment of swallowing problems associated with cancer of the esophagus and strictures. More recently she received certification in the new Stretta™ Procedure, a minimally-invasive procedure
for the treatment of chronic reflux.
